What is the Blackberry Internet Service?

The blackberry internet service is aimed at customers who do not have the infrastructure of an I.T department to manage full wireless email. Personal customers with internet based email accounts (such as Yahoo, Wannado, or Googlemail) can also make use of the Blackberry Internet Service. Setup on the network branded websites can be as simple as 3 to 5 clicks.

What is Blackberry Enterprise Server Express?

Once your customer has purchased a Blackberry handheld and have applied a BIS Bolt On to their business voice tariff, they can then take the simple step of downloading the BES Express software for free from the RIM website.

How can I export my Blackberry contacts to a .csv file?

You can export contracts from a Blackberry to a comma separated list (.csv) using Blackberry Desktop Software, follow this step-by-step guide:

  1. Start the Blackberry Desktop Software application.
  2. Select organizer.
  3. Select address book.
  4. Click on setup.
  5. Select ASCII Importer/Exporter.
  6. Click on next.
  7. Select one way sync from device.
  8. Click on options.
  9. Select comma.
  10. Click on browse.
  11. Browse to a location where you want to save the file.
  12. In the file name box, enter a name for you file and add .csv to it (eg: contacts.csv)
  13. Click open.
  14. A dialog will appear saying "This file does not exist". Create this file?
  15. Click yes.
  16. Click on next.
  17. You will see a dialog saying congratulations. You have successfully configured the product...
  18. Click on finish.
  19. Click on next.
  20. You will be returned to the organizer screen. Make sure the address book is checked and click on sync to generate the .csv file.
  21. The file will be saved in the location selected in step 11.

How can I transfer my Blackberry contacts to my Android handsets?

Follow the next 8 steps to transfer your contacts in less than 2 minutes:

  1. Turn on the bluetooth on both devices.
  2. Pair both devices to each other.
  3. Go the Blackberry's bluetooth setup, and select the Android handset.
  4. Press the enter key or trackpad, and the device menu will pop up.
  5. Select "Transfer Contacts".
  6. Your Android device will popup a request to accept a file named Phonebook.vcf. Choose ACCEPT.
  7. Your Android list will now accept your complete contact list.
